Vegetarian and Workouts
Posted on Monday June 07, 2010 by Pete

"hey Pete, thanks for answering my question in the blog. My typical meal ingredients are scrambled eggs with lettuce and sweet peas for breakfast, oatmeals with onions, sweet peas, broccoli, carrots sauteed in 1 tablespoon of olive oil with little turmeric and red chilly powder to add taste and a pinch of salt. My dinner includes cottage cheese with 4-6 slices of multi grain bread. I also take multivitamin tablet. And I do follow the HIIT while doing cardio and it has started showing some results. Would you like to throw in or add anything to my diet? I am a vegetarian but can eat egg whites. Also, I have not been able to see/feel any results in my upper body since I started serious bodybuilding 2 weeks back. What exercises would you recommend me that would make my muscles in my upper body grow? Thanks a lot again! Ankit. "

"HI Pete, Thank you for doing this. You are such a great guy! I have heard so many answers concerning gaining weights that I don't know which one is true? So let me get this straigt, in order to get big and ripped, you first have to gain weight and then do cardio to shed the fat? what do we have to do in order to get big and ripped at the same time. It sounds contradictory. How much cardio should we do? How many bodyparts do you suggest to do per week? Do you increase weights after each set? How to we get 6 pack abs? Should we do more crunches or more cardio? When you gain weight, don't we gain fat at the belly too? I am very confused, so please clarity my misconceptions. Thank you very much. Best of luck with everything that you do. You should have Dan do a workout video for us. He is incredible! Thank you for your time and I hope that you will have the time to reply my email. Have a wonderful day! Brett"
