Sore
Posted on Friday January 11, 2008 by Pete

Wow, my legs are super sore today.  I trained legs late last night, and I'm really feeling it right now.  It's Friday night, but I don't even really want to do anything except lay in bed and stretch my legs, lol.  I was going to do abs/cardio even though it's my off day, but my body is too sore, so I'm just going to rest.  I've been eating clean over the last week to get ready for the shoot on Monday.  I'm going to tan this weekend and do some cardio as well as do bodyshaving for the final prep.

Here is my eating log so far for today:

11 am: 42 gram protein shot

1130am: oatmeal, whey protein, cinnamon, wheat germ, soy milk

200 pm: egg whites

330 pm: smoked salmon and cottage cheese

430 pm: Speedshot

530 pm: 35 gram RTD shake

630 pm: grilled steak, black beans, red onions

100pm: grilled chicken, broccoli

Roger Walters: You may not like a comment like this, I'm not sure. I've been keeping track of you for quite a few years, and you just keep looking better and better. I'm very happy that your weight is around 220lbs. I just looked at two of your videos, and I loved them both. The ones where you're doing curls is superb! I'd love to get a closer look at one of your biceps. The other video I looked and enjoyed were your squats. Pete, your legs were so great looking a couple of years ago, but I swear; they're looking fantastic now!! I've always admired the well developed legs of many BB's but I still think it's hard to beat the size, and proportions of your thighs. Quads like you've built are breath-taking! Leg raises make me notice you Abs for sure now. You've built yourself one Hell of perfect physique man!! Sorry this got so long, but just looking at and studying the movement of your biceps any your massive thighs... I had to say something!!

Patient Perseverance: Great diet! It looks like you get 100 grams of protein via shakes and the rest from food. A good system, which requires that you eat big portions of white chicken or turkey meat (and lean beef), if you're going to reach 200 grams of protein a day. I see that you use soy milk. I use Hood low carb skim milk. It tasts fine, contains 10 or more grams of protein, and doesn't contain the lactose (sugar) of regular milk. I am also a fan of Special K High Protein cereal. It has plenty of protein, fiber, and is very low glycemic. It's just a lower glycemic alternative to oat meal. Of course, the slow release sugar in oatmeal gives you energy. :-)
